The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are just a couple of wins away from clinching the NFC South divisional title, but it sounds like their most important player is dealing with an injury.
On Wednesday, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield did not participate in practice with the team as a result of a knee injury.
It’s not clear when he suffered the injury, but the last time Mayfield appeared on the injury report was before Week 14 when he fully participated in practice despite Achilles and knee injuries.
Needless to say, this is pretty brutal news for both Mayfield and the Buccaneers, and it led to a lot of reactions from fans on social media.
“Bro cooked the chargers and it cost him his knee,” one fan wrote on X.
“Not a chance in hell he misses this week. stud deserves some rest,” another person added.
“Baker deserves a run in the playoffs,” one fan wrote.
“Tough dude. He’ll be out there,” another fan speculated.
“Oh he’ll play. His knee may be bolted on and strapped with duct tape…but he WILL play,” another fan said.
We’ll have to see whether or not Mayfield is able to play this week and how limited he is as a result of this injury.
