The Indianapolis Colts squandered their playoff hopes with a shocking loss to the lowly New York Giants last weekend. One thing that might’ve helped the Colts stay alive would’ve been if starting quarterback Anthony Richardson had been available.
Unfortunately, Richardson’s back is causing problems for him. In a media session, Richardson elaborated on the seriousness of the injury.
“Colts QB Anthony Richardson addresses his back issue, which was originally described as soreness, saying, ‘last week was tough and I couldn’t even stand up on Tuesday, could barely even walk, (had to) crawl around the house,’” tweeted Colts reporter Stephen Holder along with a clip of Richardson explaining the situation.

Fans reacted to Richardson’s admission on social media.
“What?!? If colts knew this, according to him: “had the back issues since eight grade”, why in the [expletive] would you draft him?!?” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“And this is the guy who running is like 70% of his game. Time to move on and get a real quarterback,” another fan added.
“The real question is who the [expletive] is the PR guy over there allowing him to just sit her and say all this [expletive], it makes everyone in the organization look bad,” one fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see how long of a leash the Colts give Richardson for the starting job moving forward.
