In the days and weeks leading up to the Super Bowl, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid faced a lot of speculation about his feature with many speculating that he could choose to retire following the season. But as it turns out, that does not seem to be what he is planning to do.
During his postgame press conference, Andy Reid was asked whether or not he would be with the team next year as they attempt to go for a three-peat of their Super Bowl Championships. And while he admitted that he hadn’t really had all that much time to consider the question, he did confirm that he’ll be back.
“Yeah — I haven’t had time to think about it, but yeah, yeah,” Reid said when asked if he’ll be back as coach next year according to Pro Football Talk. “Yeah, sure, huh?
“I mean, I get asked that — I’m mad at [Bill] Belichick and Pete [Carroll] because now I get asked all those questions.”
Reid is set to turn 66 years old in March. He is the most accomplished coach in the entire league as he is the only coach in the NFL to win multiple Super Bowls after earning his third championship ring on Sunday night.
