This offseason, the Philadelphia Eagles gave superstar wide receiver A.J. Brown a new contract and a pretty substantial pay raise, making him the highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL. But it doesn’t sound like he’s all that worried about how much he’s getting paid – he’s worried about his production on the field.
During a recent interview, A.J. Brown made it clear that while he is certainly glad to have such a big contract and a hefty paycheck, he is not letting that change the way he approaches the game because he understands that a big paycheck does not guarantee big production.
“Nothing. I want to prove it. It’s a blessing, I can say, but we don’t play on paper. Nobody cares what’s in the bank account when you step between the lines,” Brown said.
Brown will be trying to help ignite the Philadelphia Eagles offense this offseason after the team had a disappointing finish to the season with the team losing six of their last seven games including a blowout to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the playoffs.
We’ll have to see how Brown and the Eagles offense perform this year as they try to bounce back from last year.
