The Detroit Lions nearly made the Super Bowl last season as they held a fourth-quarter lead in the NFC Championship Game over the San Francisco 49ers before ultimately losing. As a result, the team is entering the 2024 season with a lot of hype. But that doesn’t seem to be bothering young pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson.
During a recent interview with ESPN, Aidan Hutchinson opened up a little bit about the hype and soaring expectations that the Detroit Lions are facing this season as he said that it was “well-deserved” hype.
“It’s unreal. There’s a lot of hype coming into this year, but I think it’s well-deserved hype,” Hutchinson told ESPN during hte interview. “I think a lot more guys on our team understand what this year is, and we understand what we got and we’re all ready.”
The Lions have never won a Super Bowl championship despite the long and storied tradition of the team. They were just one game away from a Super Bowl appearance last season and that’s clearly among their goals this upcoming season.
We’ll have to see if Hutchinson can help lead the team as they try to meet those soaring expectations this upcoming season.
