Less than 3 Head Coaches Will Be Fired During/After the 2014 Season
The NFL has seven head coaches entering season No. 1 with their respective teams, a constant reminder of the unbelievable impatience in professional and college sports in the 21st century.
While at least half of the 32 coaches could be considered to be on the hot seat in 2014, less than three will actually find themselves unemployed by the 2015 offseason, an astonishingly low number in today’s NFL. The list of potential candidates to be canned remains long (Doug Marrone, Joe Philbin, Dennis Allen and Jason Garrett to name a few) but this will be a refreshingly light season for the folks in Human Resources, as most of the hot seat coaches do just enough to warrant another go-around.
