Jon Gruden’s name has been brought up for almost every NFL coaching vacancy since he departed the Buccaneers in 2008, but on Thursday we saw a particularly interesting rumor start circling. His name also routinely surfaces for some of the higher profile college jobs, including Tennessee in 2013 before the Vols hired Butch Jones.
On Thursday, he was added to another pot of rumors: Wisconsin. The team’s Twitter account tweeted a photo of AD Barry Alvarez speaking with Gruden. It is far from a potentially educated insight into the coaching search but it would certainly be an intriguing (highly highly highly highly unlikely) possibility:
