I’ve never helped put together a media guide for a extremely large and popular university before, but I imagine it takes quite a bit of time and effort to complete. I’ll assume that countless hours go into writing, editing, and fact-checking the immense amount of information and details that go into one of these media guides.
That’s why those who were in charge of putting together this year’s Texas Longhorns media guide must have absolutely lost their minds when they were tipped off about a very small but very important spelling error that managed to go overlooked while being placed at the bottom of every page.
Let’s take a closer look at that, shall we?
Yup, that would be the word ‘Texas’ that is misspelled on every one of the 70+ page guide’s footers. The mistake has been rectified in the online version of the document but we can’t help but wonder if someone managed to spot the typo in the athletic department’s website before the guide went to print. If not, that is one colossal waste of school ink.
Oh, and in case you were wondering where www.texsasports.com might send you, one Oklahoma Sooners fan has apparently jumped on the chance to rub salt in the wound.
I’m just going to leave this SpongeBob SquarePants clip here.
