No, there was not a weather delay or a nuclear warhead headed toward Darrell Royal Stadium on Saturday night. Nor were even a few sprinkles of rain or a Rangers postseason game to get to. Texas fans simply couldn’t handle watching their beloved Longhorns suffer an embarrassing blowout loss to a good, not great, BYU team.
Following an adequate 38-7 victory over North Texas in Game No. 1 of the Charlie Strong era, people remained optimistic despite loads of disciplinary issues, including a few suspensions for Saturday’s game in Austin. No one wants to watch their squad get hammered but the rest of the country took notice when Longhorn fans headed for the exits very, very early.

Texas #Longhorns deserve fans who don’t give up. Sing the Eyes or stay home. #TexasStrong

And then the Fire Charlie Strong chants started flying:
Does anyone own http://t.co/iTaGNxE0Yd yet? I think I may buy it. Some asshat will have that going soon enough.

With Texas playing UCLA next week do they fire Charlie Strong now or wait until after the Bruins destroy them?
