The South Carolina Gamecocks had their spring football game on Saturday in Columbia, and decided to have some fun with an offensive playcall late in the first quarter.
South Carolina dialed up a play-action bomb to surprise wide receiver… Steve Spurrier?
The former Gamecocks’ Head Ball Coach (2005-2015) snuck into the end zone and was wide open for an easy touchdown, but unfortunately showed off stone hands and dropped the pass. Spurrier was quite upset about his brutal drop and rolled over in the back of the end zone in agony.

The ref even had the touchdown signal ready to go! Rough.
Then again, Spurrier is 72 now and won the Heisman Trophy 52 years ago, so we’ll let this drop slide.
