Sean “P. Diddy” Combs was arrested Monday for allegedly attacking UCLA’s strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi.
The confrontation, according to TMZ, resulted from the coach “screaming” at Combs’ son, Justin, who’s a defensive back on the team.
Combs apparently attempted to attack Alosi with a kettlebell, but luckily he missed and no one was injured. UCLA released a statement on the matter, and UCLA head coach Jim Mora weighed in as well.
“I’m thankful that our staff showed the level of professionalism that they did in handling this situation,” Mora said. “This is an unfortunate incident for all parties involved. While UCPD continues to review this matter, we will let the legal process run its course and refrain from further comment at this time.”
TMZ also said Combs was often referred to as “helicopter dad” for “hovering over practices,” so Diddy losing his mind probably wasn’t all that much of a surprise. Although, swinging a kettlebell at someone seems pretty excessive.
