Ohio State defensive end Joey Bosa won a national championship on Monday night and won Instagram on Tuesday night. The immensely talented sophomore took to the social media site following the Buckeyes convincing win over Oregon and trolled the ever loving hell out of the Ducks and their Heisman Trophy quarterback.
Bosa hit Mariota late in the 4th quarter following a pass and while the initial hit was perfectly acceptable, Bosa drew strong criticism for driving Mariota hard into the ground, a move that cost Mariota one play. The light debate will soon subside as to whether or not it was a late hit, one that had zero impact on the game, but Bosa ignited a new debate with his trolling Instagram post:
Is it acceptable to troll with the intention of mocking a team and/or player that has just been injured? A post that did not include the Mariota photo would have generated little heat but because Bosa selected this photo, it appears that he is pouring salt deep into the wounds of the Ducks.
