New Youngstown State head coach Bo Pelini blasted his former boss at the University of Nebraska with a very direct shot. Pelini, fired following his seventh consecutive 9-plus win season with the Huskers, was hired by current Youngstown President (and former Ohio State head coach) Jim Tressel this week to the same position. In discussing what it means to work under Tressel at his new institution, Pelini did not hold back in singing Tressel’s praises but also blasted his former employer’s support, namely former Nebraska President James B. Milliken, who left this year to become chancellor of The City University of New York.
Pelini calls Jim Tressel “a president who understands football, who’s going to support me, something I don’t know if I’ve ever had.” Zing!
