Belmont pulled off the big-time upset of North Carolina on Sunday, and the MVP of the shocking game might have been this Belmont fan who decided to belt out Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” in an attempt to distract the Tar Heels’ James McAdoo at the free throw line.
With UNC playing at home, the whole arena was quiet as the fan starting singing a couple lines from the song’s chorus, creating a hilarious moment early in the game. The best part? McAdoo missed the free throw attempt.
UNC would go on to miss 25 more free throw attempts…no official word on how many were directly attributed to acapella performances from Bangerz.
