Just a few days after Michael Sam publicly announced that he was gay – likely making himself the first openly homosexual player in the NFL if he’s drafted in a few months – the Missouri linebacker has found himself on this week’s cover of Sports Illustrated.
The great cover features the headline “America Is Ready For Michael Sam” while also asking “Is The NFL Ready For Michael Sam?”
The NFL better be, because he’s coming…and he doesn’t look afraid.
