Legendary college basketball announcer Bill Raftery announced today that he’ll be leaving ESPN to join the newly-formed Fox Sports 1 network. Raftery made the surprising announcement this morning via an official press release.
Don’t worry, college basketball fans, he’ll still be calling March Madness games for CBS in the Spring – the move just means that Raftery will be joining Gus Johnson to call Big East games on Fox Sports 1 throughout the season.
Nice pickup by Fox.
