At least the first half looked competitive.
Although they were down at the beginning of the third quarter, it looked like there was still some life in the Cavaliers. LeBron James even led what looked to be a rally in the last few minutes of the second quarter before the teams headed to their respective locker rooms.
Sadly for the Cavs, however, it was just not meant to be, scoring just 77 to the Golden State’s 110 in Game 2.
Throughout the second half, the Warriors dominated King James and the rest of Cleveland, allowing Ohio’s favorite son only 19 points total off of seven field goals. That number doesn’t seem so low until you realize that we are talking about LeBron James.
Draymond Green led the Warriors with 28 points in Game 2, draining five from behind the three-point mark alone. He was backed up by Klay Thompson and Steph Curry, with 18 and 17 points, respectively. Curry, who has been dealing with injury since Golden State’s series with the Portland Trailblazers, still showed some of his classic spark with this three-pointer in the fourth.
The Warriors head to Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland for Game 3 with a commanding lead of two wins. This, if nothing else, has been quite a start to the NBA Finals.
