Tim Duncan made good with his promise that he will be a “Spur for life.” The two-time MVP has reportedly signed a three-year extension worth an estimated $36 million. Duncan, 36, averaged 15.4 points and 9 rebounds last season. Duncan, entering his 16th season, has had a world-class career, averaging 20.3 points and 11.3 rebounds and helping the Spurs win four NBA championships.
Duncan is not the only key role player they have re-signed this offseason. The Spurs have also agreed to deals with guard Danny Green and center Boris Diaw. Green’s new contract is worth $11.3 million over three years. Diaw has agreed to a two-year deal worth $9 million with a player option in the second year.
