The Golden State Warriors already have some of the best uniforms in the NBA but now they’ll be able to lay claim to the league’s best alternate jerseys as well.
On Thursday, the team announced that they would be bringing back the fabulous Hardwood Classics “The City” jerseys that the team originally wore during the 1966-67 season.
The team last wore “The City” jerseys as alternates during the 2010-11 season.
The Warriors will wear the magnificent alternates eight times this season, with the first appearance being on November 17th for the team’s game against the Toronto Raptors.
They will then be worn the following week when the team takes on the Los Angeles Lakers. The night will be extra special because the Warriors will also “recognize former swingman Jason Richardson for his accomplishments during his six seasons with the franchise.”
The team also promises that additional Warriors greats will be honored during “Hardwood Classics Nights” this season.
So, if one wants to watch the NBA’s best dressed team play some of the league’s best ball in the league’s best alternates, here are the dates to do so:
Tuesday, November 17 vs. Toronto Raptors
Tuesday, November 24 vs. Los Angeles Lakers
Tuesday, December 8 at Indiana Pacers
Saturday, January 9 at Sacramento Kings
Monday, January 18 at Cleveland Cavaliers
Tuesday, March 1 vs. Atlanta Hawks
Tuesday, March 29 vs. Washington Wizards
Tuesday, April 5 vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
