The NBA is going through a major transitional moment, as stars such as Kevin Durant, LeBron James, and Stephen Curry are approaching the end of their careers, paving the way for younger players such as Ja Morant, Zion Williamson, and Anthony Edwards to take over as the faces of the league.
The old guard is well aware that its playing days are coming to an end.
Stephen Curry recently got honest and made an official announcement that he has decided he wants to play for as long as possible, but he knows the end is close.
“I want to do this for as long as I can, but the clock’s ticking,” he said, according to Legion Hoops.

Fans reacted to Curry’s statement on social media.
“This pathetic stupid front office doesn’t even wanna do anything to get Steph some help it’s (upsetting me) that he had to go through this for years,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Just request that trade big bro I don’t wanna see you go out like kobe did,” one fan added.
“Translation: I want to fulfill my contract obligations but the body is body’ing right now, and I dunno if I’ll make it to 2027,” another fan added.
“He doesn’t have much time left. He has been such a fun player to watch over the years. One of the great ones,” added one fan.
It’ll be interesting to see if Curry has one last Finals run in him before he hangs up the shoes.
