If you thought the Los Angeles Clippers’ recent success — coinciding with the Lakers’ sinking ship — had pushed the Purple & Gold to the back of everyone’s mind in LA, guess again. Upper West, a restaurant in Santa Monica, ran an ad in the newspaper congratulating the Los Angeles Lakers for their recent playoff run. Of course, the glaring problem here is that the Lakers didn’t even come close to making the playoffs, while the Clippers gave a spirited effort against the Oklahoma City Thunder before being bounced in the second round in six games.
Those poor Clippers. They just can’t catch a break.
