Turns out, thanks to countless hours of practice and the brain’s ability to create a “cognitive map,” Klay Thompson doesn’t need light to hit 3-pointers.
ESPN’s Sports Science decided to test the Splash Brother’s range from downtown by turning off the lights split seconds before he could physically shoot the ball. Thanks to a remarkably consistent form, Klay proved that he could probably make more three pointers with his eyes closed than many of us could with our eyes wide open in a well-lit gym. In darkness, Thompson managed to knock down eight out of ten shots.
