Like us, Isaiah Thomas is anxiously awaiting a trade to the Cleveland Cavaliers to be finalized. After being included in a deal with Jae Crowder and a first-round pick for Kyrie Irving, the Cavs temporarily put the agreement on ice following Thomas’ hip concerns. So, how is Thomas waiting out the deal? Beating his old team with his new team on NBA 2k17.
Twitter user @CJMiiv captured a screenshot of Thomas playing 2K as the Cavaliers, where he was handily beating his old team by 13 points in the second quarter.

Perhaps, he’s practicing for the real thing. Regardless, it’s amazing that he’s making his gameplay team selection public despite the trade not being finished.
Now, for those calling it a fake, if it is, it’s a really damn good one. Earlier this year Thomas tweeted out his Xbox Gamertag which just so happened to match the one listed above. Adding further evidence, he also wanted to play 2K.

The facts don’t lie.
The NBA is the best because the players aren’t afraid to show personality. Stuff like this makes it 24-hour entertainment. You never know how shade is going to be throw – whether it’s via Xbox or Instagram – and that’s fantastic.
