The WNBA may catch some flack for not being as entertaining as the NBA, but no one will argue that the ladies that participate aren’t tough. Mayor Greg Stanton of Phoenix, thought it would be a good idea to participate in a Phoenix Mercury practice recently, and he got more than he bargained for. Mayor Stanton went after a rebound and got tangled up with Mercury player Nakia Sanford. The result was a broken nose and a bruised ego.
