In celebration of Craig Sager’s return to NBA sidelines, Mark Cuban and Gregg Popovich each filmed a welcoming message for Sager for NBA TV.
They both added a nice personal touch to the clip.
Cuban outfitted himself in a horrendous green suit jacket and dared Sager to “top this.”
Meanwhile, instead of dressing up, Popovich welcomed Sager back in classic Pop-fashion (and in more words than he’s likely to give Sager over the course of their next ten interviews combined):
“Craig, welcome back. Big boy, good to have you here. Congratulations on leading and winning against a hell of a challenge. Our challenges pale by comparison to what you just did. We’re all happy for you. Now, the probing, incisive, profound questions will begin to roll, I’m sure. We’re all looking forward to those plus the fashion statement each week.”
