LeBron James might secretly be waiting for Kanye West’s next rant, and with decent reason. Twitter user @the_mvp was inspired on Wednesday after Kanye West really went at it with Wiz Khalifa, and decided to do the most random research ever. His findings bear some merit, as it does seem that LeBron James tends to go off (in terms of overall stats) following a Yeezy meltdown. As you can see from the below infographic there have been five main rants by Kanye, and after each of those rants LeBron’s numbers spike to nearly triple double territory. The spike is by no means significant, but if there were a gun to your head you could probably pull off the theory that the two are correlated.
For reference here are LeBron’s stats in 2008, 2009, 2013, and 2015.
For the record, LeBron James is averaging 24.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 6.3 assists this season. The infographic left out Kanye’s latest ‘Wiz wears nice pants’ rant, so we are inclined to mention that LeBron went for 21 points, 3 rebounds and nine assists before sitting out the fourth quarter.
