Despite turning in a rather stellar performance himself, LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers fell short against the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday night, 104-95.
Through the first three quarters, James was nearly unstoppable, scoring 30 points while missing only one of his 14 shot attempts. However, the Nets took control in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Cavs by 12 points and holding LeBron scoreless in the period.
Notably, James did little to hide his exasperation with the Cavs’ performance in the fourth quarter, as he could be seen in several stages of pissed off after watching his team blow various defensive assignments.
While the Cavs are still in first place in the Eastern Conference, the loss to Brooklyn and LeBron’s open displays of anger won’t do much to help quell the rampant speculation that not all is well in Cleveland. Worryingly for Cavs fans, in his post game talk with reporters, LeBron admitted that the team is still trying to figure out its “process,” with the playoffs right around the corner.
LeBron James: "I don't have the right word at this point in time, but we have to understand how important our process is."

Whatever impact this has on the Cavs moving forward, it’s pretty undeniable that the struggle was real for LeBron James last night.
