This is a pretty hilarious clip from yesterday’s Cavs-Bulls game, during which Cleveland point guard Kyrie Irving misread the shot clock before an inbounds play and still wound up drilling a half-court shot with laughable ease.
Irving thought he had 22 seconds to work with on the shot clock but, in reality, there were only two ticks left for him to put a shot up. This led to a sudden midcourt heave that miraculously found its way to the bottom of the bucket, leading Cavs’ fans and players to lose their minds.
Irving couldn’t help but laugh about it afterwards, which is probably a lot easier to do when you drill the shot. Amazingly, Irving’s prayer wasn’t the only one answered for the Cavs during yesterday’s game – J.R. Smith also drilled this incredible buzzer-beater from half-court at the end of the first half.
