Before they were opponents in the NBA Finals, Klay Thompson and Kevin Love grew up together in Lake Oswego, Oregon.
According to The Oregonian, the pair were little league teammates in the fifth and sixth grades. Love was a top-notch pitcher who could hit 90 mph by high school, and Thompson was a great all-around player.
There must be something in the water out in Oregon as the two seem to have been destined for greatness since childhood. Their little league team earned a state championship and even competed in the Little League World Series.
Love and Thompson will bring their championship aspirations to the big stage Sunday night when their teams go head to head in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.
