The Air Jordan XX9 is the first Air Jordan model to take advantage of a weave-like upper and it seems like the Jumpman is ready to push the limits on what a knit construction can do for Jordan Brand.
So, on February 13th, Nike is preparing to release an Air Jordan XX9 which features the iconic photograph of Michael Jordan leaping in the “Jumpman” pose.
As a concept, this is a pretty ingenious twist on the current signature Jordan model. The Air Jordan XX9 has already released colorways with an oversized Jumpman on the side so this new colorway represents a fun take on a familiar design.
While it’s doubtful that many people will wear this (there’s just something off about wearing a shoe with an actual face on it), for Jordan collectors, this XX9 could really strike some nostalgia chords.
