Joel Embiid has nothing but time at the moment after having surgery to repair an orbital fracture in his face. How does the Philadelphia 76ers big man choose to spend his time on the mend? Watching his alma mater and tweeting at Rihanna, of course.
Embiid, a must-follow on Twitter, joked about watching Kansas struggle against Villanova while recovering.
THIS IS BRUTAL…. I’m literally trying to take my mind off this pain but Kansas is not helping #RockChalk

Man am I high or these dudes are so hot from 3? Come on

Kansas would lose the game to the Wildcats 95-79, but that didn’t stop Embiid from, once again, shooting his shot with pop star Rihanna.
Babe are you single or nah? @rihanna

Surprise, surprise, Rihanna did not respond to Embiid’s inquiry.
And, Embiid didn’t stop there.
“Process” stop… I thought you were an ALL STAR https://t.co/MyZk9Lv5wg

Embiid’s mind might not be in its normal state thanks to whatever the doctors put him on, but, that did not deter him from shooting his shot with Rihanna. Obviously, nothing will.
No matter how low percentage his requests are, Embiid’s commitment to keep shooting no matter what is damn impressive – even if the success rate will remain at zero.
