Before we get started, let us introduce you to Tony Snell: he’s a promising rookie in the Chicago Bulls organization, who, thanks to Derrick Rose’s season-ending injury and the trade that sent Luol Deng to Cleveland, has been pressed into more duty than initially planned. Just this week, he scored a career-high 20 points in a blowout win over the Denver Nuggets.
Now that we have that out of the way, let’s talk about Friday night, when Joakim Noah basically took over against the Dallas Mavericks by doing Joakim Noah things all over the defensive end (and sometimes on offense), en route to a 100-91 win for the visiting Bulls. After one important crunch-time play, Noah ran back to the bench in search of a chest bump with any teammate willing to participate. Unfortunately, Tony Snell landed in Noah’s line of fire, and wasn’t prepared to engage him with the same amount of vigor. Bad move, Tony.
