Sam Cassell hasn’t played in the NBA for a handful of years now, but his famous “onions” dance doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. Jameer Nelson broke out the obscene celebration Wednesday night after draining a game-tying bucket to send the Magic-Bulls game into overtime.
It was funny, but will also probably prove to be pretty costly. Nets forward Andray Blatche was fined $15,000 in November for doing the celebration, and Marco Belinelli was fined the same amount last year. It’s pretty safe to assume Jameer will receive a similar slap on the wrist.
