The best and worst thing about Blake Griffin is his aloof persona. On the court, his perpetually slightly annoyed face and stiff demeanor doesn’t endear him to opponents or fans of other teams (the flopping doesn’t help either). However, off the court, Blake’s detached personality is quite entertaining when put in the right environment. Pairing him with someone who isn’t afraid to be a goof ball like Jack McBrayer made for some very entertaining Kia ads. And now, VIZIO has found another way to channel Griffin’s slight awkwardness – a poetry slam.
The very image of Blake Griffin reciting slam poetry is hilarious and bizarre on its own but when Blake’s voice is added to the mix, the entire thing becomes entirely transfixing. Hopefully, a Blake Griffin poetry collection is in the works. There are so many ways to wax poetic about tear-away pants and Blake is probably just scratching the surface.
