Preliminary reports of a near-finalized 2013-14 NBA schedule have the Miami Heat receiving their championship rings on Opening Night, October 29th, where they will face the Chicago Bulls. The first game in Miami’s second consecutive title defense will also feature the regular season return of Bulls guard Derrick Rose, who is coming off an ACL injury.
Reports also have the Heat visiting the Los Angeles Lakers on Christmas, which will almost assuredly be an afternoon game. This is good news for yours truly, because I can go ahead and pencil in my Christmas Day nap for around tip-off — because, you know, ain’t nobody got time for that beatdown.
The full schedule is expected to be released Tuesday.
