The New York Knicks faced off against the Miami Heat in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, and it wasn’t all that pretty for the New York faithful. The Heat closed out the series 4-1 last night when they beat up on the Knicks 106-94 at the American Airlines Arena in Miami.
With less than five minutes left in the 4th quarter Amar’e Stoudemire fouled out of the game after committing his 6th foul on Shane Battier. Stoudemire pulled off one of the most hilarious fake “lending a hand” to Battier immediately after, yet karma eventually found Stoudemire following that.
The Heat public address announcer Michael Baiamonte followed the slightly classless move by Stoudemire with a clever dig of his own. He announced to the sold out Miami crowd: “He has been extinguished from the game!” Well done, sir.
