The future of the Sacramento Kings franchise has been in limbo for years now; going from potential relocations, numerous arena deals and change of ownership. However with new owner Vivek Ranadive, a tech entrepreneur, the team will stay in Sacramento and will move into their new downtown arena. The deal was helped by former NBA all-star, now Sacramento mayor, Kevin Johnson. Breaking ground on the new state-of-the-art Sports and Entertainment Complex will start this summer and is slated to be opened in October of 2016. Here are the first batch of renderings of Sacramento’s new arena.
