Houston Rockets Dwight Howard is no longer Superman. He’s not the same as the Orlando Magic Howard who averaged better than 20 points per game four times, led the league in rebounds per game five times, and terrorized the NBA defensively for the better part of decade. That Superman has put down his cape, or flown off to Krypton or whatever.
Howard may not be able to carry a team to the Finals like he did in 2009, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t deserve a cool nickname. And like Superman, the hero he named himself after this time runs really fast too. He wants to be called “The Flash” now, and to get the nickname going he’ getting a customized Dodge Challenger that bares Flash’s colors.

It will also have other cool goodies inside of the vehicle as well.
Ash says the project will run around $65k — and included everything from a custom paint job … to a pimped out steering wheel … and custom Flash logos on the wheels, hood, seats and gas cap.
But the highlight … Ash installed a custom lighting system which shines a Flash logo on the ground when Dwight opens a door. Pretty cool stuff.
All in all, the car looks pretty cool. Houston’s colors — not coincidentally I’m sure — are red and yellow too so that’s an added bonus for a player so vocal in supporting his team. He could have done worse with the car.
