Sadly, LeBron James can’t even enjoy a basketball game in peace without a crazed NBA fan’s disruption.
James was at his son Bronny Jr.’s AAU game on Wednesday night, where according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, a dude wearing a Michael Jordan jersey heckled so much the game had to be canceled. Here are the details per the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
The game between Bronny James’ North Coast Blue Chips and the Nike Meanstreets was canceled after a man wearing a Michael Jordan Chicago Bulls jersey began ridiculing the elder James and was denied entrance, according to a event official who declined to give his name.
The man, who was about 150 feet away from James, also screamed at event security and was eventually restrained, which triggered the cancellation and a brief altercation with security personnel.
James, his wife, Savannah, and daughter, Zhuri, who were in seats along the court’s baseline, were promptly escorted out a side door with the Blue Chips players, all 13 and younger, while event security quelled the situation.
I’m all for having the MJ-LeBron GOAT discussion. However, some dude going to his son’s game and causing a ruckus just because he doesn’t like LeBron is idiotic. There’s no room for that kind of stuff, period.
LeBron might seem like a real life superhero, but like you and I, he’s just a person. Let him enjoy watching his son play basketball in peace.
