Donald Sterling may have been forced to sell the Clippers but he seems to be taking things in stride.
After all, it’s not too often where someone gets punished by gaining an additional $2 billion, which is what Steve Ballmer plans to pay for ownership of the Clippers.
In a brief interview with NBC Los Angeles, Sterling even managed to show some concern for the NBA and Adam Silver, demonstrating a level of compassion that almost mitigates his offensively racist language and being an honest to god slumlord.
When asked if he was OK, Sterling said he was. “I’m OK, I’m OK,” he said. “Is the NBA OK? I’m not sure about that. Is (NBA Commissioner) Adam Silver OK? I’m sure he’s OK.”
While he did state that he’s ready to move on with his life (because he’s has had it so hard up to this point), Sterling is also suing the NBA for $1 billion in damages. No wonder Sterling feels fine. Even when he screws up, Donald Sterling somehow manages to position himself to get even richer.
“I feel very good. Everything is just the way it should be, really. It may have worked out differently, but it’s good. It’s all good.”
So, don’t worry about Donald Sterling everyone. He’ll be just fine.
