Here we have a story that screams “Halloween prank”, as Rocky, the Denver Nuggets’ mascot, made a very terrifying (and very real) entrance onto the Pepsi Center court Friday night. His debut stunt involved being lowered from the rafters, but the man in the suit passed out on the way down, creating the illusion that Rocky was “hanged” on a noose as he approached the court (very, very brief video here). Reports confirm that Rocky passed out due to a dizzy spell, and that he is expected to recover. Still, it’s probably not the best way to ring in a brand new season.
