The Denver Nuggets’ chances at beating the Memphis Grizzlies Monday night weren’t great, but they did have an opportunity to at least send the game to overtime, as they trailed by three with a few seconds remaining. All hope was quickly lost, though, when Nuggets coach Brian Shaw drew up a play for Timofey Mozgov. The same Timofy Mozgov who has made exactly one three-point shot in his four-year career. We hope you’re sitting down: it did not go in. However, he redeemed himself by grabbing his own miss — only to quickly erase any chance at full redemption when he decided to dunk the ball instead of launch another desperation three.
Incredibly, Mozgov didn’t have the most memorable lowlight of the night, as Ty Lawson sent Memphis’s Nick Cathales stumbling into next week with this nifty one-handed crossover.
