Jamal Crawford stole the show in Los Angeles on Monday night, as the reigning 6th Man of the Year poured in 21 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter of a 102-98 win by the Clippers over the Denver Nuggets. While Crawford’s performance was the headliner, it was a multiple possession sequence at the end of the first half by DeAndre Jordan that also had the Staples Center crowd — and Clippers play-by-play man Ralph Lawler — in a tizzy.
Within the span of about 30 seconds, Jordan denied Ty Lawson, Kenneth Faried and Wilson Chandler at the rim, and finished off his defensive display with a monster two-handed reverse alley-oop. The Clippers have now won five consecutive games, and appear — for the moment — to have righted the ship a bit as they fight for a top four seed in the Western Conference.
After the game, Jordan decided to video bomb Crawford by “serenading” him. Let’s just say DA should probably stick to blocking shots and dunking.
