What’s the first thing you’d do if you just signed a $120 million max contract? You’d rent a private jet and fly your boys down to Las Vegas for some partying in the desert, right? Well, at least that’s what I would do. Apparently, Damian Lillard rolls differently. To be fair, the Trailblazers’ new $120 million man did fly to Vegas (to attend NBA Summer League) with teammate C.J. McCollum, but decided to join the regular folks in coach. Well, not coach coach, because he’s in an exit row, but it ain’t first class, that’s for sure.

This reminds me, last summer, Jack Sikma was on my flight to Vegas for Summer League. We walked down the jet way together and chatted a bit. Sikma is a local legend. Guess what? He flew coach too. In the exit row, but still, very impressive for such a tall dude who’s making that NBA assistant coaching money.
