It’s been a rough go for Ricky Rubio this year. First, the Minnesota Timberwolves point guard had to endure a torn ACL (and the resulting recovery process). Adding to the misery, his return to the court has resulted in depressingly low numbers as well — 3.3 points per game, 18.8 percent from the field, 4.5 assists, three turnovers in 17.5 minutes. Clearly, none of this matters to superfan (and self-described NBA Fanatic) Dean Pierce, who now is able to snuggle with the Spanish basketball wizard during the cold Minnesota winter. Pierce commissioned a blanket capturing Rubio’s grinning mug — that’s Pierce’s grandmother in the photo — for Christmas. Yep, that’s not creepy at all.
