The Akron Beacon Journal is reporting that the Cleveland Cavaliers are going to hire Mike Brown as their next head coach.
The Cavaliers and Mike Brown have reached a handshake agreement on Brown returning as the team’s head coach, a league source has told the Akron Beacon Journal.
An official announcement is expected Wednesday.
All signs point towards a five-year deal which will be worth $20 million-plus, sources tell Y! Sports.
Mike Brown coached the Cleveland Cavaliers for 5 seasons from 2005-2010 and was fired by the Cavaliers in 2010. His most recent stint was with the Lakers where he lasted only 71 games before being replaced by Mike D’Antoni.
