Kobe Bryant dished up an assist on Monday night as the Lakers guard helped USWNT player and World Cup star Carli Lloyd set a Twitter troll straight. It wasn’t nearly as vicious as some instances of severe squashing but enough for the troll to wiggle away with his tail between his legs.
It started with one person wondering how Lloyd can still train while making the talk show rounds after their World Cup triumph:
Mentally powering through!! All in the mind. 😜 https://t.co/kBxEP81RJ6
— Carli Lloyd (@CarliLloyd) July 28, 2015
Harmless enough. Then a troll rolled in and suggested that Lloyd is more interested in being a celebrity than soccer player these days, to which she politely responded:
You are actually 100% wrong. https://t.co/UKk8A0QpDF

Bryant saw the exchange and decided to give lend a hand in ending the pointless argument. Even though he unfairly calls out the first user, who wasn’t even ruthless, he does also accurately call out the actual troll too:
Well.. I can name 2 tweets @CarliLloyd definitely shouldn’t be “interested” in @ronaldguzman12 @pegyscarters
