The NBA is filled with countless colorful personalities but Stan Van Gundy might be among the more unique of those individuals. The Detroit Pistons head coach is rarely one to mince words, focus on the cosmetics or hide his true emotions and while these items are widely known across the league, TV cameras and mics still manage to pick up numerous on-air expletives.
During Detroit’s agonizing home loss to Celtics on Wednesday night, the veteran coach called a timeout late in the first quarter and was clearly pissed. His comments were not particularly unusual or wildly inappropriate but the mics did manage to catch a couple f-bombs, per usual.
