Bill Simmons has never been one to hide his bias as a Boston Celtics fan, but at least he tried to on Thursday night when the C’s selected James Young with the 17th overall pick.
Unfortunately for Bill, ESPN’s cameras cut to him a little too soon and caught him in the middle of a fist pump. He seemed to be quite embarrassed and caught off guard, later saying “I’m so mad that I’m going to be on YouTube now for that fist pump.”
Welp…sorry, Bill. And, for the record, I don’t have a problem with the fist pump. We all know Simmons is an avid Celtics fan, but he’s there to provide some honest analysis. I’d say that fist pump is about as honest of analysis as you’re gonna get.
