UFC legend Conor McGregor praised former president Donald Trump for evading a would-be assassin’s bullets in Pennsylvania on Saturday.

McGregor took to Twitter, the social media platform currently marketed as X, to praise Trump and point out the sacrifices he made to run for president in the first place.

“A 78 year old, multiple billionaire, he should be on a yacht on the med touring golf courses,” McGregor wrote. “But he is not.”

McGregor went on to wish nothing but the best for President Trump and the United States of America.

“He is in Pennsylvania spitting out bullets! Running for the love of his country! Gof speed, Donald! God bless the United States.”

Trump did not immediately respond to the praise as he recovered from the traumatic event. Donald Trump Jr., however, took the honors from his father.

“Thank you for this Connor,” Trump Jr. wrote, adding an extra letter to the fighter’s first name. “I hope more people understand exactly what is that stake these days? Never ever give up! FIGHT!!!!!”

The FBI named 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, a 20-year-old registered Republican voter from Pennsylvania, as the shooter. Federal investigators have yet to find a motive for what sent the tragedy into action.
